This privacy statement provides information on how Practice for Haptotherapy and Haptonomic Pregnancy Guidance Maaike van Leur (from here on referred to as ‘practice’) deals with personal data that is processed by the practice.

Personal data processed by the practice
The practice only processes personal information of clients and persons who have proactively contacted the practice via the contact form on the website or in other ways. This privacy statement therefore is only addressed to them. Only the section on Cookies also applies to other visitors of the website of the practice. The personal data processed and stored by the practice include:

  • Information that appears on the invoices
  • The email address to which the invoice must be sent
  • What has been exchanged between client and practice in email and via Whatsapp

The purpose of processing your personal information
The practice processes your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To make appointments and conduct consultation on the treatment
  • Sending invoices

The treatment agreement is therefore the basis for processing the personal details. You do not have to give permission separately.

How long we store personal information
The practice does not keep your personal data longer than strictly necessary for the above mentioned purposes. If the contact does not lead to treatment, the practice will delete the emails and the contact details.
Once the treatment has been finalised, most data will be deleted within two months. However, the practice is legally obliged to keep the financial records, including personal information contained therein, for 7 years. After those 7 years, the practice will also delete this information.

Sharing personal information with third parties
The practice does not pass on your details to third parties, unless this is necessary for your treatment or to comply with a legal obligation. The practice has concluded agreements with the companies that process your data on behalf of the practice, to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your information. The practice remains responsible for these processing operations.

Cookies
The practice uses only technical and functional cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit the website for the first time. The cookies that are used are necessary for the technical operation and the user friendliness of the website. They ensure that the website works properly. You can opt out of cookies by changing the settings of your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. You can also delete all information previously saved via the settings of your browser.

View, modify or object to data
You have the right to view your personal information processed by the practice and have it corrected if necessary. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal information by the practice, if you believe that there is no basis for the use of that information.

The practice will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but at least within a month. You can also send a message to this e-mail address if you have a complaint about the processing of your personal information.

The practice hold the protection of your data in high regard and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
